What's On In London? Women's Football Please!

We need professional help! This year, in the Netherlands, the UEFA Women's Championships (a.k.a the Women's Euros) will take place with all matches being shown on Channel 4. As it stands, the England team are positioned fourth in the FIFA World rankings, and the third highest team in Europe. This is the highest placing of any England Senior team since the men won the World Cup in 1966. What's more, people are watching women's football: the UK audience for the Women’s World Cup more than doubled from 5.1 million in 2011 to 12.4 million in 2015, and 1.9 million tuned into to watch one of the England Euro qualifying matches last year. After MUCH research we have been unable to find even one venue showing any games, let alone all the games. We’ve tweeted many sports pubs and chains in London, imploring them to show some of the matches. We’ve asked the pubs and now we’re asking you: please help us find somewhere to watch the England Women’s football matches! We’ll

PUBlic Service Announcement - Women's Football: Coming To A Pub Near You? (Hopefully...)

Good afternoon, This year, in the Netherlands, the UEFA Women's Championships (a.k.a the Women's Euros) will take place with all matches being shown on Channel 4. As it stands, the England team are positioned fourth in the FIFA World rankings, and the third highest team in Europe behind Germany and France. Currently, women's football (or, you know, football), is officially (probably) the fastest growing sport in the United Kingdom. At their last major tournament, the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup, the England team narrowly missed out on the final but went on to win third place; beating Germany 1-0 in extra time.

Who wants to watch some women's football this summer? We do!

Hello we are Charlotte and Claire, followers of the Lionesses, Chelsea Ladies season ticket holders, huge Man City Women fans and all round supporters of any team. Since the World Cup in Canada we have followed every twist of the WSL and attended as many domestic and international matches as we can to show support for Women's football. This is a brilliant but time consuming pastime, not because of the travelling (who can forget our journey to Rotherham!), instead the lack of information or marketing about games has proved difficult to find the correct details to attend. Once again we find ourselves in the same situation. The Women's Euro's are coming up and can we find anywhere we can gather a group of friends to watch it? No! So we are aiming to get some pubs in London to show the games.
